Wilhelm Tell of Switzerland
Today is a National Holiday for Switzerland.
It is a day to remember Wilhelm Tell, the Swiss National Hero for Liberty.
THE HERO...
One day William Tell - a hunter from the nearby valley of Schächen - passed the market-place with his son Walter without paying attention to the hat. Gessler had him arrested immediately and told him that his only chance to stay alive was if he could hit the apple that Gessler had placed on the head of his son Walter- with a cross-bow. Tell's arrow hit the apple and, when Gessler saw that Tell had brought a second arrow, he asked why. Tell replied that it was intended for Gessler if he had hit his son instead of the apple. Gessler was furious, had Tell dragged on to his boat which was ready for departure to his castle in Küssnacht at the north-western shores of Lake Lucerne. Suddenly there was a raging storm and the boat was close to heeling over. Gessler got scared to death and decided to release Tell from his fetters hoping that he could save them all with his strong arms. Tell stood in towards land and some rock that he knew near Sisikon. He escaped at one single bound. The boat drove on and Tell knew that he was lost. Therefore he hurried to Küssnacht where he hid in a bush near the gorge that led to Gessler's castle. When Gessler arrived Tell hit him with an arrow straight through his heart."

The Waiting....
Needing some sort of patience this week, waiting for the approval of my Nursing Diploma Recognition from the Swiss Red Cross (SRC) and for the acceptance of my work application in Switzerland without the needed papers from the SRC.
Waiting needs patience and the same I am learning these days. Nevertheless, what have I said before...
just cherish the waiting moments.

12 Nights and 13 Days
Twelve nights and thirteen days of being together with H.P.P. brought back my physical keenness I almost have lost once again.
Amazed and stunned of the sudden changes in my thinking and tactility, I am beginning to value and enjoy every minute of my existence.
I realized that without H.P.P. on my side, am I wondering about what I would have been doing here and now.
It was tedious search and journey, but I think ,I finally arrived at my destination: HOME.

Herzlichen Dank, Fam. Fester, Fam. Klingler und Frau Hessenauer!

A hearty laugh...
is a healthy heartwork.
I have been sharing a bunch of profound sounds with somebody closest to my heart since April 2012.
Never had I laughed freely and intensely in my life. One of the proofs why am I feeling very well since then. I have found somebody (or best, he found me) with whom I can share my thoughts and feelings without fear and awkwardness, and I can say that love can never be tardy in life.
As am trying to preserve the most private feelings I have and avoiding to talk about the mishaps of
the past,
I can say that.....
life and living with H.P.P. on my side is worth a while.

30°C in Switzerland
Enjoying sunny weather and 30°C temperatures in Switzerland.
Life and living for me is getting better though there are hurdles to take because of bureaucracy but I think it is part of being a non - EU citizen in Europe. There are ways and solutions but I need patience before I can get the working permit I need for Switzerland.
Almost the same procedures like in Germany, so this situation of getting the needed papers does not scare me at all.
Everything will go right, I have that faith in my heart.
For the meantime, the best time to do is to continue regenerate and just enjoy the moments with H.P.P. here and now..
Have some sun, everyone!

Insektenhotel...
The "Olchis" headed by Mara and Günter have started to build a kind of "Insect-Asylum" in their garden in Olching, Germany. It is heartwarming to know that there are people who care about the small living things on this earth. I feel proud being a member of the "Olchis Family Connection".
It would be wonderful to see all those happy insects altogether in that "Insektenhotel!"
If I would have such a beautiful house, I would like to be an insect!

Food for thought for today...
Live. Here and now.
And while you live .....
"Learn to value yourself, which means, fight for happiness!"

"A beautiful thing....
is never perfect."
I heard this phrase yesterday and it fascinated me a lot.
To my mind, there is no such beautiful thing than having someone who sees things differently and reminds me of the simple values in life.
Four days of physical regeneration and having a sound sleep, my psychological salubriousness is getting back and I can say that I do not worry much nowadays. I just accept things as they are and am letting changes into my life and living.
From this moment on, I just would let things happen and I know that together with H.P.P., things will never be perfect but plainly delightful!
Have a good Thursday, dear readers!

Croix-Rouge suisse
or Croce Rossa Svizzera, or Schweizerisches Rotes Kreuz or Swiss Red Cross.. is one of the things in my To Do List nowadays.
In 1993, I left West Berlin for the Schwesternschule der Universität Heidelberg and now, I realized that it was the best decision I have ever made then. I wanted to be independent and to secure my source of living, and after several years, time is telling me that......
it is never too late to find a way so as to change one's life.
In this place, I wish to thank Frau Stallmann, Nursing School Directress in Humboldt University in West Berlin in 1993, for giving me the chance to study Nursing in Germany. Indeed, the step changed my life.
I am writing this because I am in the process of getting the recognition for my German Nursing School Certificate from the Swiss Red Cross. It will pave the way for me to work in the European Union countries and also for Switzerland and I want to inspire my fellow Filipinas and other Asian women, aspiring to get a profession in Europe, to grab their opportunities to get a Diploma in a foreign country.
Sure it is not easy but it is possible.
May the force be with you, dear readers!

Awesome!
The sun shines in Switzerland!
My second day at home. I survived the peak of lucky feelings I had since Sunday and I feel very lucky to have someone who is willing to share with me everyday of his life.
Regeneration is the key word nowadays. I am now much aware of my eating habits and my attitude towards life and living has changed since I have H.P.P. on my side who is always reminding me to take good care of my health. For a simple reason:
For me.
My friends in Germany namely: Fam. Fester, Christa, Mary Jean, Mara, Günter, Isolde, Annamarie, Dominik, Tobias, Lucy, Corinna, Carmen, Anke, Gingging, Alice and last not the least, Nora, have given me the much-needed moral support in Munich and I am very, very thankful of them because without their help, I would not be able to stand on my own feet again.
Their efforts paid off. I survived Munich.
And now, seeing the golden sun in Switzerland, I can say that I am full of hope and happiness. I now realized that things happened for a reason.
And the reason is worth the happenings.
Be happy everyone.

Mel lives here!
Whew! What a day!
I feel like a newborn.
I still cannot believe it! For several years, I lived in agony and mishaps and I thought I was damned for loneliness and self-pity but now....
am standing strong, willing to live, willing to give love and care to somebody who makes me feel important and special, and not only in words but in action.
How wonderful life is and I needed almost five decades of my life to experience and savour every minute of being on this earth. Suddenly, things are just plainly beautiful.
I live. I love. Here and now. Hopefully, forever.

If we hold on together by Diana Ross
An inspiring song to share with you, dear readers!
Don`t lose your way
With each passing day
You`ve come so far
Don`t throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I
Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valley, mountain
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Someone is praying
Please let us come home to stay
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I
When we are out there in the dark
We`ll dream about the sun
In the dark we`ll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone
If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by
For you and I
With each passing day
You`ve come so far
Don`t throw it away
Live believing

Wonders are waiting to start

Kismet It Is!
Yesterday, I had the chance to bid farewell to Mary Jean, Manfred and Michelle in München. She cooked delicious Filipino dishes for us and had the chance to talk about the past and the present, family and friends.
We barely could hide our tears but Kismet it is that I wish to go. Two lonely hearts found each other and they are willing to share the rest of the their years on this earth together. Why waste time when the love is calling? It is time for a healthy egoism.
Mary Jean and I shed tears but of happiness.
Danke sehr, Mary Jean, Manfred and Michelle. I will miss you.
Till we meet again.

Four more....
days to go and dreams will come true!
Today, I will be saying farewell to Mary Jean, Manfred and Michelle but it would not be a sad goodbye at all. I know that we will stay friends forever. These loyal friends have proven to me that they are good chums not only during happy but also on gloomy days. My heartfelt gratitude and the pledge that whenever situation allows, I will be visiting them or the other way around.
A new lifephase will begin, and this time,
am sure enough, a happy one!

Nena... Liebe Ist
a wonderful song by a German artist Nena
for all my dear readers
Du guckst mich an, und ich geh mit,
Und der ist ewig, dieser Augenblick.
Da scheint die Sonne, da lacht das Leben,
Da geht mein Herz auf, ich will's dir geben.
Ich will dich tragen, ich will dich lieben,
Denn die Liebe, ist geblieben.
Hat nicht gefragt, ist einfach da,
Weglaufen geht nicht, das ist mir klar.
Du und ich das ist ganz sicher,
wie ein schöner tiefer Rausch,
Von der ganz besonderen Sorte
und wir haben ein Recht darauf:
Uns immer wieder zu begegnen,
Immer wieder anzusehen.
Wenn die große weite Welt ruft,
werde ich sicher, mit dir geh'n.
Liebe will nicht,
Liebe kämpft nicht,
Liebe wird nicht,
Liebe ist.
Liebe sucht nicht,
Liebe fragt nicht,
Liebe ist, so wie du bist.
Gute Nacht, mein wunderschöner,
Und ich möcht' mich noch bedanken.
Was du getan hast, was du gesagt hast,
Es war ganz sicher nicht leicht für dich.
Du denkst an mich, in voller Liebe,
Und was du siehst, geht nur nach vorne.
Du bist mutig, du bist schlau,
Und ich werd' immer für dich da sein,
Das weiß ich ganz genau.
Happy Birthday!
To my sister Mrs. Mila Regina Arbolante and to my niece, Mary Petermann, am sending to you my heartfelt and sincere greetings on your birthdays July 08 and July 11, 2012, respectively.
We have not seen each other for a long time but rest assured I am thinking of you and am wishing you both goodluck, health and happiness, may all your wishes come true and may we see each other again soon!
Ingat lagi!

Five Nights and Four Days More...
..... and it is time to relax and to just let things pass by!
Regeneration is a must for a blissful lifephase is yet to begin. It is my pledge to H.P.P. that he will not be worrying about me when we are together. There is a pleasant future ahead and health will be one of the priorities I have on my agenda.
There are a lot of "To Dos" and I can only enjoy them when I am physically and psychologically fit.
The strings are tightened. Family, friends and H.P.P. are helping me so...
will I take good care of myself!
Homesick...
I was at home from the 6th to the 09th of July. Back to work in Aschheim, I feel homesick and weary. For the first time, I felt sad leaving a handicapped H.P.P. behind.
YES, B U T ....
on Sunday, the 15th of July, 2012, will be the start of a happy life.
I will be going home forever.
Two souls decided to be together and soon will it be realized.
There are adjustments and compromises needed but I believe that when there is endearment, I am rest assured, everything will be tackled smoothly and fair.
How benign am I to have found a new start. I know that this time, things and feelings will be different and mutual.
Have a nice Tuesday, dear readers!

The Right Timing To Be At Home...
Reminiscing the early months of 2012, when I was feeling lost and weary, I could say now it is quite true that everything happens for a reason.
On March 19, 2012, I wanted to go back to the Philippines but I cancelled the flight for justified reasons. I had my Burn Out Syndrom and it took me time to recover and gain my physical health. I promised myself that I will change something in my way of thinking and actions not only for my sake but also for my family and friends who were worrying about me. I was thinking I owe the latter a lot so must I have the will to survive and to enjoy life.
Difficulties were erased and things turned out positively for me. I found a new job (which I thought will be less stressful than before), and I got a new spacious room but after a period of eight weeks, I realized that my work requires my whole strength that I have to make changes, so as not to jeopardize my health again. A sound mind in a sound body was the set goal but it turned out that alone, I could not hold on to my resolution. I am closed again to my Burn Out Point, by giving a lot of energy to my work and activities without substituting the calories lost.
Without having somebody on my side who is concerned enough to help me prevent another Burn Out Phase, I know it will be difficult to prevent another body collapse. A very special person came into my life just on the right time. Without him, I am sure that I would still be lost and not knowing what to do with my life and would probably ignoring the signs of Burn Out, as in the past.
It could be my guardian angel who sent H.P.P. to me and I am sure that...
love finds his way, and the main reason why things are happening now and suddenly paving the way to a happy, healthy life.
It is the right timing to be at home.

Speed and more....
At last, I have my four consecutive free days and am travelling via Intercity Express Train to Ingolstadt. I will have the chance to see the city and at about noon, I will be picked up by my soulmate and we will be driving home in a white Volvo which can accelerate up to more than 220km/h.
Yes, speed takes and makes changes in my life since April 10, 2012.
It was the desire to talk to someone who has a peculiar voice with impeccable manners that led me to Sony Vaio with a comfortable speed, which my old laptop has not.
It was speed that paved the way to travel to Switzerland. My heart was (and still is and will always be) beating so fast that I have to decide to finally personally know my soulmate in just a wink of an eye.
Indeed, speed is the talk of town. Why should I wait when I am sure of my destination?
Bags are packed and I do not want to waste precious time to be with someone to share life, laughters, and most especially, love.
Now, I am sure that twenty five years of mishaps swiftly and speedily passed by to reach this peak of my life where and when I can say that having H.P.P on my side, I am the most luckiest woman right now.
It is time to go home....double-quick... for mutual happiness is at stake.
Worry not about the future, live the happy life!

Merci, Christa!
Christa is a very good friend of mine since December 1997. I met her in Klinikum Grosshadern at H3A Heart Surgery Intensive Unit. Ever since, we nourish and enjoy our friendship. Even when I left Germany in 2004, she took the chance to visit me in the Philippines.
Christa is one of the main sponsors of my child-help project in Legazpi City, Albay, who sent Joey Nantes to school. She was able to meet her sponsor child and the latter's grandmother as she visited Quirangay, Camalig, Albay in 2007.
We went up to Sagada and Banaue Rice Terraces and had a day on one of the islets of the Hundred Islands in Alaminos, Pangasinan.
We have shared many laughters and joy, and more than that, she has proven to me that she is not only a good friend during good but also in bad times.
It was Christa who picked me up from Munich Airport last March 27, 2011, as I returned from Germany after seven (7) long years of stay in the Philippines.
Christa is one of my friends who is helping me cope up with my difficulties in Munich, Germany. Let me thank her in this site. She really deserves it:
I will always treasure the friendship between us, Christa. I would like to thank you for all the things you do and you share to me. Thank you for your financial support on my child-help project.
Ich danke Dir herzlichst für Deine Freundschaft. Ich weiß, dass wir uns in der Schweiz wiedersehen
werden! Lasse es Dir gut gehen!
Merci, liebe Christa!

Mens sana in corpore sano...
Am I glad I am going home this weekend. I am feeling exhausted and I need to be recharged. Work keeps me running and I often forget to eat and drink. This attitude will be changed soon. I will be taking good care of my body and mind. With someone on my side, who can cook and deliciously prepare food, there will be no more excuses.
Two more days of afternoon shifts and I will have my four days free. Another week of work and I will be going home for forever. Time is precious, and there is a special person worthy to be and to share happiness with.
....and most importantly, to savour the drinks and foods prepared and cooked together...
Take good care of your health, folks!
P.S.
Thank you, H.P.P. for your understanding and concern.

Goodluck, Caroline!
Caroline is a young lady whom I met last June 30, 2012, during the 70th Birthday celebration of Frau Fester in Crailsheim. She is about to take her Licensure Examinations on Dental Medicine and I wish her good luck for her future. I am sure she will make it because she is full of energy and determination.
I had the privilege to meet her parents, too, and they were kind and friendly enough to bring me to the train station. It was an unforgettable day meeting good people.
Go, get your dreams, Caroline! You will make it.

Never ever say a word....
which you cannot take back anymore.
These words I have in my heart and mind since I visited Crailsheim.
I will be going home on Friday till Monday to regenerate. Physically, I am exhausted. It is about time to be concerned so as not to reach the Burn Out Point again. Es wird Zeit, nach Hause zu gehen.....
I am grateful that I have now a comfortable home I can call my own.
For the first time in my life, I do feel that somebody really cares and he is showing the same in his words and actions.
Fill up your senses, my dear readers!

Fresh Cherries and More
Visiting Crailsheim was worth it. After eight months, I was able to see Family Fester again. Two days of seeing good friends and getting their good wishes for my new life in Switzerland gave me a feeling of comfort and satisfaction.
I met a lot of friends. Corinna, Jule and Nele dropped by just to see me and we harvested sweet Cherries from the garden. It was a wonderful afternoon.
My friends in Crailsheim assured me that I can always come back to Germany, in case there is a need to. I am very, very lucky to have all those wonderful people around me.
I took the chance to visit Thomas' grave again. I whispered a prayer for him and told him that I found somebody whom I would share the rest of my life with. I promised to visit him once in a while.
Although somebody else owns my heart now, Thomas' memories will linger in my mind.
Crailsheim gave me an advice on partnership and it says:
"When you love somebody, never ever say a word that will hurt him and which you cannot take back", and I will always remember that, for this time around, I found the person worthy of my affection.
Have a good Sunday, everybody!

Visiting Crailsheim
Sitting (again!) inside an Intercity Express Train to Crailsheim via Nürnberg. We are leaving at 05:14, and will reach Nürnberg at 06:29. From there, I have to catch the Regional Express Train to Crailsheim at 06:36 and will be in Crailsheim at around 07:41 a.m.
I have just read the letters from Margie. A special thanks to Christa for sending me the same before my visit to Crailsheim. The letters came delayed for Margie forgot the area code and it took some time to reach Munich. Anyway, I have them with me and am glad I can distribute the same to the sponsors. Please visit www.friendsfromgermany.blogspot.com for further information.
Frau Helga Fester turned 70 years old yesterday (June 28) and tomorrow will be the grand celebration and I am fulfilling a promise that I will be in Crailsheim on her 70th birthday. Though a day late, the promise to be around when she celebrates will be fulfilled.
Visiting Crailsheim means visiting Thomas again. Thomas was the son of Frau Fester, who passed away in 1997 due to illness. He was my "Examenspatient" for my practical Nursing examinations at the University Clinic of Heidelberg. Thomas invited me to Crailsheim, as a reward for my successful examinations but he lost his struggles to survive three days before my final written examinations. His mother, Frau Helga Fester, fulfilled her son's last wish, and she invited me to Thomas' funeral and so began the story behind visiting Crailsheim. Since then, Thomas' parents, Herr Waldemar Fester and Frau Helga Fester, consider me as their daughter and I can say that I am very lucky to have them in my life.
This time, I have a good news for them. I will be telling them that I have finally found my place under the sun. I am sure they will be happy to know that I have found someone worthy to spend the rest of my life with.

Sleepless...
but for Ging Ging and Sandra...
I was able to chat with Ging Ging, a very dear friend from the Philippines living in Dachau. She had her late shift also and cannot fall asleep like me. Ging Ging is one of my good friends here in Bavaria. We seldom see each other but we keep in touch whenever we can. We have been friends for almost twelve years now.
Then Sandra saw me online on Yahoo and I just cannot ignore her because it was 06:30 in the morning in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines, and I do not want to spoil her day by not answering her messages.
Both asked how am I doing. What else? I have to say that I am very lucky and happy these days and good friends as they always are, they are glad to know that my new home is in Switzerland.
Goodnight, everyone.

Danke, Kuya "Peter"!
Foremost, thank you for regularly reading my blog, Kuya Gerd! I know it because of feedjit!
I am very proud of you, Kuya Peter. Thank you for the concern about my health. I would have gladly taken your work offer as your Office Assistant but Peter in Switzerland came in between. You are not less important but I know you understand that.
Thank you for your brotherly love.
Did I say already that you are the best Big Brother in this world?
Mama Naty is surely happy and proud of you and looking upon us. Thank you for coming into the
Buendia Family! Truest to your words, from the very beginning, you are taking good care of us.
Maraming Salamat.

True Love...
stands by me!
Honestly, I try to preserve a bit of privacy on writing about the person who captured my heart and mind some months ago but this is my blog (a kind of artist freedom), and I want to let the whole world know that this man is worthy to have and be loved.
I am the luckiest woman on earth for having this man in my life now!
This man is holding the main rope which saves me from another downfall. I am very, very grateful to have H.P.P. Without him, my life would be empty and I would still be homeless.
I am going home very soon!!!! Thanks a lot, for your love, care and affection H.P.P.

Hero = H.P.P.
by Mariah Carey
There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
It's a long road
And you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear
And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
Oh ho, Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away, hey yea
Hold on there will be tomorrow in time
You find the way, hey
Then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you
That a hero lies in you
Umm, that a hero lies in you
To my special hero, H.P.P.

Weary...
Feeling weary at this moment...
Yesterday, I ran errands and it exhausted me a bit. Well, not to forget, I was already weary after seven consecutive days of working alone. Hopefully, my colleague is recovering and can report tomorrow when I come back to my duty. I love my job but I have to take care of my physical health, too.
There are times when I think I just need to swallow my pride and can throw this kind of work behind me but my principles will not allow me, and so as long as I could stand on my own feet, I will not give up. The freedom to choose and to decide I have with me and I do not want to lose it at all.
I was able to visit Nora at the Kunstwerkstatt and she was crying as I came. I could feel that there is something wrong so I had to cover up my low energy and bad mood so I can give her comfort but she noticed that I was not even feeling any better than her. Two of our friends passed away. One due to illness but a young man in his twenties had chosen the unnatural way. Nora and I ended up crying and hugging each other. We promised to each other to be standing strong, whatever may happen in the future.
We managed to exchange topics and at the end, we were laughing over our mischievousness and
silly talks. Seeing her again gave me another bunch of hopes.
I promised to visit her as often as I can. In that way, I will find some time for me to do some sketches. Work takes a lot of my leisure time and this situation should be changed and will soon be changed. It is just a matter of patience and time. Aadorf is waiting....
Have a little more patience!

A question....
Lately, I got a message from somebody with whom I lost contact with for many years already. At first, I was surprised because this person is suddenly interested how I am coping up with life and was asking how am I doing.
At a second glance, I felt offended and intimidated. Long years have passed and out of nowhere, this person just took the right to ask. Worst, I know that this person is always informed about me, in one way or another, all through the years of silence and distance.
How and why can somebody be suddenly concerned about someone? Is it plain curiousness? What is the purpose? Is this person really concerned or just playing cards? Or this person cannot accept the fact that I am living happily ever after.
Whatever. I reserve the right not to answer. The book is closed. I am moving on.

Seven Consecutive Days...
Good morning, everyone!
I have been working for seven consecutive days and my duties require me nine or ten hours of multi-tasking. My muscles are aching and am still standing because of painkillers.
Am I glad that I know the situation will soon change. I just need the Swiss Recognition and somebody is kind enough to help me with the costs.
I am weary and tired but am inspired and am in love. Good reasons to get going.
"Go, Fighter....!"
or better...

Welcome Home, H.P.P.
Allow me to say "Welcome home H.P.P.!", landing today from Spartanburg, South Carolina via Charlotte, North Carolina, in Zurich, Switzerland.
Ich hoffe nur, der Traktor ist in Ordnung.
Wow, it will be a double strike in July. India can wait!
I feel like a VIP! And I think, in a very peculiar way, I am!
Merci, H.P.P.!

H.P.P. is full of surprises..... and they are good ones. I am sure of that.
Ich bin total gespannt auf das Mitbringsel aus Spartanburg....South Carolina, USA.
Have a good flight back to Switzerland!
Today, I was surprised that it is already the 22nd of June and I missed to greet, Dominik, Mara's son on his birthday. I was sixteen minutes late! I am sorry, Dominik. Again, belated Happy Birthday and I wish you luck, health and happiness.
Myla sent me thru email my Transcript of Records from the Krankenschwesterschule der Universität Heidelberg. Maraming Salamat, Myla!
Good neighbors in Eufrosina Heights are sending me good wishes thru my sister Myla. Thank you, folks, for the friendly treatment. Myla and her family are feeling good in Eufrosina.
Enjoy the day and get rid of unimportant matters.

In the midst of the rain...
Christa, Mary Jean und Michelle and I ate dinner in Kare Thai Restaurant near Sendlinger Tor in Munich. It was a happy afternoon with heavy rain and thunderstorm.
In the midst of the rain, sharing laughters and good food and taking a walk to the Marienplatz with our umbrellas open.... what a beautiful late afternoon!
I could not be happier these days. Things are working out well and they give me hope and comfort and I do not worry much about the future. I will just let things happen. Que sera, sera....
I am thankful of my hero, H.P.P. Without him, I would still be lost in trance.

"Go, Fighter!"
Jhe, a very good friend of mine from Legazpi City, Philippines, and who helped me in my child-help project in Pawa and Bogtong, is worrying about her mother. The latter is in the hospital having her much-needed operation. I wish her a speedy recovery.
When I was totally down, Jhe sent me a message thru Facebook saying "Go,Fighter!" These words linger in my mind and I will not forget them again.

Six hours behind....
Indeed, we are in the universe. Spartanburg is six hours behind Munich's time, and San Fernando, La Union is six hours in advance!
After a long flight, H.P.P arrived well in Spartanburg and am glad to know that.
Myla, my sister, arrived well from Intramuros, Manila, who attended a cout hearing for me, and she brought me good news.
I am meeting Christa, Mary Jean and Michelle today. Munich awaits a storm but I hope I can beat the time before the rain, lightning and thunderstorms come.

With Christa Inside The Münchner Dom
Yesterday after a PM-AM nursing shift, I met Christa at around 16:00h before the Sendlinger Tor in Munich. We spent two hours of talk and laughters, drank our glasses of Apfelschorle and cups of Cappucino outside a Cafe, (sunny Tuesday with 26°C!) then went to the Münchner Dom to light up some candles for Simon, Christa's nephew, who is taking his examinations this week.
Goodluck, Simon!
Today, I will be meeting Christa again after my early shift at the Sendlinger Tor for dinner. We have to take advantage of our free times, for we have both tight schedules in the coming weeks.
Thank you, Christa, for your friendship. I treasure the same in my heart.

Over a cup of Capuccino...
First, I would like to wish H.P.P. a nice flight to Spartanburg, South Carolina. I will be missing this very special person.
Secondly, I wish my mentor, Atty. Rolando A. Suarez, former President of the Rotary Club of Paranaque, District 381, Philippines, a speedy recovery.
Atty. Suarez is like a father to me. I am a product of the Rotary Club and am always grateful of those Rotarians who helped me shape my mind and way of thinking. Without them, I would have not been able to enter college in the Philippines. Thank you, RC Paranaque!!
The Four Way Test of all the things we say and do, and I quote:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR ?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"
A simple test that could lead us all to never-ending happiness and fulfillment.

Leaving Home Temporarily....
The trails and rails of Winterthur, Switzerland and Munich are getting familiar to me. I am sitting (again!) inside an European City Train passing through St. Gallen, Margrethen, Lindau, Buchloe, Kaufbeuren und Geltendorf to Munich.
This time, it is not destination Winterthur but it is leaving home for work in Aschheim, Kreis München. I love Munich. I have there my second family and dear friends and they know that they will not be forgotten in case I turn my back from Munich to live in happiness.
I am deeply grateful that my search is ended. Life is just wonderful!! Thanks a lot, H.P.P.
Adobo Magnifico!!!!

Miscellaneous
I cannot ask for more.
My view of life and living changed since end of April 2012. I know now that nobody can harm me except myself. I have trusted my instincts and I am rewarded.
For the first time in my life, I do not worry about the future. I just want to live the moments. Struggles and hurdles can come and they can go swiftly. They are not important anymore.
Impeccable it is when you have someone who can share laughters with you.
Life is just wonderful and exciting since April 10, 2012!
Enjoy the sunny days, my dear readers!

Adobo At Home...
... and it is good I do not need to cook it by myself.
Better, someone special is cooking a Filipino recipe.
Best, it would be his first time to cook an Adobo and he is doing the same for me.
The thought of doing it deserves a respect.
The cooking and the intention to eat an unknown recipe requires courage.
Good food. Good weather. Good company. Good feelings.
This will be a perfect day.
Enjoy everyone!

The Quiet Moments...
Sitting alone in my room, sipping my second cup of powdered black coffee, I am reminiscing the past and I am a bit enlightened and comforted because I can figure out what my future would be. At a wink of an eye, I know what I want in my life and it gives me a feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. I am aware of my present and I am sure now, that I can sit aback and just enjoy the things around me.
I am thankful of the things I have experienced in the past for they influenced the way I think and I feel nowadays. For the first time, I am learning to appreciate every second of my life. To think that I almost gave up and without the help of my truest and loving friends around, I would not have learned to appreciate life and living on this earth.
Suddenly, everything has a meaning and I want to quote the "Olchis" message to me:
"For the optimistics, life is not a problem but is the solution"
I have my "quiet moments" and am beginning to live...
***
"Olchis" refers to Mara, Günter, Annamarie, Isolde, Dominik, Tobias, Lucy from Olching, Germany.

"Everything I want To Do
...I want to do with you!"
I heard this song this morning as I woke up and it suited to my mood. I still cannot believe what is happening around me and I have to control my feelings and moods so that I can think rationally and would not fall into Euphoria.
There are a lots of changes in my life, feelings that I have not experienced before are coloring my days and new wishes are coming true that I have to take some moments of pause so as to be aware of the happenings.
For sure, I know what I want to do with my life now. I found a new shelter. Nope, a "Home, Sweet Home" and I wish to spend the rest of my years with someone who is very passionate, loving and kind.
There are some hurdles to take but I have faith in me that some things just need time and patience and all will be settled and realized.
I dare say, I would not think twice when mutual happiness is involved. I will go for it with all my heart.

New challenges before me...
It is just a matter of time, paperwork, bureaucracy, etc. and my workplace could be just some steps away from home!
I cannot believe this is happening. I am very grateful of the current blessings and luck pouring in.
Am I in heaven? Am I dreaming?
Nope. Everything is real. Wishes do come true.
Thank you, my "Wunschfängerengel"!

One fine, rainy day....
It is raining but it does not matter at all.
Seeing out of the window, I can see the dark clouds covering the green hills and it is a wonderful scenery seeing some raindrops falling onto rooftops while the leaves are waving smoothly and freely from the trees. It looks gray but bright sunrays are trying to shine all over.
I love these moments and I feel very tranquil and comfortable right now.
Thank you, H.P.P for giving me a home.

A Fine Saturday Afternoon With The Olchis
Yesterday, I rushed from Aschheim to Olching to attend my post birthday celebration with the Olchis.
Thank you, my dear family in Olching, for that wonderful day. You all made my day!
The Family was complete: Mama Annamarie, Mara, Günter, Isolde, Lucy, Dominik and last but not least, Tobias. They suprised me such an unforgettable self-made Pizza with Dinkelteig.
It was a hearty meal and I ate a lot for I was starving. I have to admit that my work keeps me from eating and drinking. At the end of my shift, I realized that I was not able to take (again!) my break to eat and drink something.
I was so hungry that I have to rushed to the next automatic vending machine at the Munich Central Station some 60 seconds before my SBahn to Olching came. I was able to pull out a pack of Gummy soft candies from Haribo. I lost some coins though because I hurried to my train and forgot to close my purse and I left a funny sound of falling coins as I got inside the train.
It was an amusing experience seeing the people picking up the coins I scattered behind me. Loosing some coins paid off. Such unexpected Katzenmomente bring funny moments, remind me that everything can happen unexpectedly.
So this Sunday's trip to Aadorf, Switzerland. It was not planned at all but that makes it somewhat special. I feel like a Piratenbraut who is waiting for her Captain to come.
The day can start worthwhile....

Doubles
This week I have a lot of ....
doubles!
Double duties, double responsibilities, double shifts....
and
double fun and happiness within a week.
Last night, somebody asked me why I prefer to nurse old people.
The answer is also a double.
First, old people between 80- 100 years of age, mostly in dementia, have many interesting stories to tell. It is fascinating when they suddenly remember things they have experienced in life.
Second but not least, I think and believe that people deserve the utmost care when they become weak and old. They have done their parts in a society and they should be given attention and recognition for what they have achieved in their lives. They are humans and should be treated as such. It is not only giving them enough calories and fluids to survive but also respect and attention.
I swore to an Oath at the "Krankenschwesterschule der Universität Heidelberg" and I will keep the promise to the best of my possibilities.
Getting old should not be a burden. It should be continuation of life and living. It is fun.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough
Diana Ross sings....
If you need me, call me.
No matter where you are, no matter how far.
Just call my name. I'll be there in a hurry.
On that you can depend and never worry.
(You see, my love is alive
It's like a seed that only needs the thought of you to grow.
So if you feel the need for company,
please, my darling, let it be me.
I may not be able to express the depth of the love I feel for you,
but a writer put it very nicely when he was away from the one he loved.
He said down and wrote these words:)
No wind, (No wind) no rain, (no rain)
Nor winter's cold
Can stop me, babe (oh, babe) baby (baby)
If you're my goal
No wind, no rain,
Can stop me, babe
If you wanna go
I know, I know you must follow the sun
Wherever it leads
But remember
If you should fall short of your desires
Remember life holds for you one guarantee
You'll always have me
And if you should miss my love
One of these old days
If you should ever miss the arms
That used to hold you so close, or the lips
That used to touch you so tenderly
Just remember what I told you
The day I set you free
Ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough (Say it again)
Ain't no river wild enough
To keep me from you
Ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough (Say it again)
Ain't no river wild enough
To keep me from you
Ain't no mountain high enough
Nothing can keep me
To keep me from you
Ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough (One more time)

Happiness comes first....
Good morning, dear readers!
Today I have made a decision on what my priorities in life for the future would be and I came to a conclusion that I prefer happiness rather than the ladder of career. I think that at this age, I have been through all my possibilities and I am satisfied with what I have reached in my life.
I came from a very poor family. At the age of nine, I have been working to earn money and with much humility, I think I have reached my goals in life to uplift myself and others from the poverty and I cannot ask for more. I want to live life and savour every minute of it.
I am willing to give up everything for happiness. I have found it and will never let it go....

Carpe Diem...
Seize the day...
the days, the hours, the minutes and the seconds.
This month, I am going home twice!
If happiness has a name, it should be H.P.P!
Start your day with a smile...

Allium Sativum...
Garlic is known to be good for health. Researchers claim that Adenosin and Cystein Sulfoxide in garlic cloves can enhance and regulate enzymatic liver processes. Garlicin is proven to be antibiotic like Penicillin. Adenosin in garlic can prevent Thombocyte Aggregation thus can lead to better coronary circulation.
There are a lot of interesting facts to read on about garlic in Internet but for me, garlic reminds me of my childhood in the Philippines. When I was young, I was afraid of darkness and my late mother had always comforted me by saying:
"Do not be afraid, we have garlic hanging all over the Nipa Hut."
In the Philippines, people believe that garlic can drive away bad spirits, especially vampires.
Well, it did help when I was young. Nowadays, I know the truth about garlic and lately, I found out that garlic is one of my favorite spices.
