Christmas 2011 is a day to remember!
I was with "The Olchis" and I was lucky to be invited in a so-called "Quack Quack, Peng Peng" Party in Olching, Germany.
Very good friends Mara and Günter, Mama Annamarie, Isolde, Dominik, Tobias and Lucie (the latter is, by posting time, on her way to Dubai, visiting her sister there) were around and we shared a hearty meal and lots of laughters.
Thanks for the gifts and memories, good folks from Olching!

Bavarian Alps
What a wonderful day in Hopfen am See!
Having the opportunity to stare at this magnificent view of the Bavarian Alps gave me a feeling of happiness and satisfaction. Yes, indeed, I feel very lucky to be here again in Germany.
Eight years in the Philippines gave me a lot of defined and concrete feelings and knowledge that home is not where you were born or where you grew up. Home is where you feel good and happy. Definitely, Bavaria is the place where I feel at home.

Meeting Old Friends in Old Germany
Sunday, the 28th of August brought a lot of fun and laughters meeting good friends in Gilching. Siggi did not recognize me but he said, he once met me before. At least, he said, he remembers my face. Only after Mary Jean mentioned Achim, he realized it was Mel standing before him. His wife, Merci, was a bit perplexed as she saw me but she recognized me.
From Jenny, I heard a big scream of surprise! It was, indeed, a day of reviving old friendships. How we can forget the Sylvesters we celebrated with Siggi and Merci in Gilching?
Tempus fugit!

Making Changes in Munich
Today, I have made some steps to pursue changes on working in Munich. I attended to some matters regarding my new assignment and I feel good knowing that I can still cope up with the difficulties I am encountering in Germany.
Reminiscing the past, I can say that everything is much easier now than back in 1987, where I was struggling in Berlin. Yes, I feel proud of my accomplishments.
What makes me strong is that there are plenty of German friends who are willing to help me tackle the problems on starting all over again in Germany.
My heartfelt gratitude to Christa, Fam. Fester, Mara, Günter, Manfred, Mary Jean, Anke and last, but not the least, Carmen.
Thanks a lot! Danke, liebe Freunde!

Life and Living in Munich-Grosshadern
Hallo from Munich!
After ten years of absence, life and living in Munich Grosshadern is not that easy. I have to cope up with the cold weather, new colleagues (some of which are making my working time really tough) and with my nursing duty shifts.
Am I glad I have good friends around like Christa, Mara and Günter, Frau Fester, Herr Fester, Anke and Carmen who motivate me to keep my head high and be confident of my skills. I am grateful of their support and comforting words. Danke, liebe Freunde!
Working with patients motivate me because most of them are grateful and they recognize my nursing skills. I am getting my energy from good colleagues and I am pretty sure that I will be having fun at work soon.
Keep going and live your dream - my Motto this year!
