Katze tolerates Katzenmutti

Katze surprised the whole cat family when he shared his favorite bed
with Katzenmutti, days after the latter lost her kittens.

Adidas - the lone survivor

I am now six (6!) months old!  I lost  a total of  five (5)  brothers and sisters.
Though I enjoy Katzenmutti's  affection, I  miss playmates.

Life goes on...

Weeks after the sudden death of Verdi, Mozart, Tschaikovsky and Beethoven, Katzenmutti seems to have forgotten the mishap and is now back to her normal day and night routines. For three (3) consecutive days, Katzenmutti stayed inside the house, and needed a lot of attention and affection. She roamed around the house and searched for her siblings. Her "Meoww" was deafening that Adidas came to comfort her. Indeed, Adidas took advantage of the moments and enjoyed Katzenmutti's motherly affection.

Life goes on. And it seems we are coping up with the situation.

Verdi's Struggle for Life

The day after the death of Beethoven, Mozart and Tschaikovsky, Verdi"s struggle for life ended at 02:40am of February 18, 2010. It was a long, painful and heartbreaking struggle. Katzenmutti lost all her kittens. She lovingly comforted her little ones until their last breath.

A saddening experience for Mel. At this point of time that she is anxious about a breast diagnosis, which she has to undergo soon (Biopsy), seeing how life ends reminds her to treasure the moments under the sun. Less stress, less pursuit for material things, more on living a quality life. The latter is the goal - no less, no more.

Rest in peace, Verdi, Mozart, Tschaikovsky and Beethoven. The happiness you shared will be always remembered.

The day the music died....

Beethoven passes away...

Six (6) hours after the death of Mozart and Tschaikovsky, Beethoven, also died.

It was a heartbreaking night for Mel and Achim. Katze comforted Mel. Adidas behaved.
Einstein, to Mel's surprise, stayed at home.
The kittens seemed to be having problems with their urinary tracts.

It is a very sad day. Mel waited until the sun came out and buried the three (3) cats together.

Mozart and Tschaikovsky say goodbye

A day after  Mozart and Tschaikovsky were born,  they passed away.
As Mel woke up at midnight of February 17, 2010, to check on the cats,  she found Mozart  dead  and Tschaikovsky was dying. Fluids came out from their noses and mouth.

This is very saddening. Mel witnessed Tschaikovsky's birth and missed Mozart's.
The next day, she found Mozart dead and saw how Tschaikovsky died.

Life reminds Mel that in a wink of an eye, life can be ended.

Embracing Katzenmutti, she told her: "Remember, the happiness they gave us when they were born!
How lucky we still are. Don't you think they are telling us something?"

"Hope they are all male cats! I need playmates!"

Katzenmutti gets some sun...

The morning after giving birth to four kittens, Katzenmutti took some time to relax her tired muscles and enjoyed the morning sun.

Katzenmutti is tired...

One day old kittens. Lively and healthy....and hungry!!

Lucky and lovely cats!

Welcome to this world!

Katzenmutti is Mother again!!!

Yesterday, the 16th of February, 2010, at 0:200am to 04:00am, Katzenmutti   gave birth to Verdie, Beethoven, Mozart and Tschaikovsky! It was a lucky lunar day for Mel witnessing the birth of Verdi, Beethoven and Tschaikovsky! After two (2) hours of comforting Katzenmutti,  Mel went to bed, and as she woke up the next morning, another kitten, Mozart, is already with them.

Beautiful cats! Now, Mel and Achim has already ten (10) cats at home. Eufrosina Heights in San Fernando, La Union, will soon be mouse-free!
